Are you interested in creating world class, groundbreaking, interactive experiences on a large scale? If so, we are looking for an accomplished development lead to work in a highly qualified technical team on a brand-new application Unity is developing. We are seeking a leader of their field who is passionate about live-events, gaming, and community building. Someone who will help us deliver interactive content and games to market as a lead developer with focus on motion capture and artist tools.

More specifically, in the next 4-12 months, you will be defining, shaping, and supporting the delivery of a creative direction and working first version alongside hardworking colleagues at the top of their game!

Long term, you will work with the leadership team to define the vision of what the user experience can become through collaboration with our team on how we get there. This will include pushing the boundaries of what is possible using Unity and real-time 3D!

What you’ll be doing

  • Work in close proximity with designers, researchers, developers, and product managers to rapidly iterate on a new Unity experience
  • Collaborate with technical leaders and peers around the world to drive an aligned vision for Unity's project
  • Participate and drive technical architectural discussions and decision-making for your team
  • Identify, design, and delivery technical solutions and work with peers beyond a single project to cross-pollinate and innovate across Unity

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced Developer and Lead developer with strong technical knowledge and experience with live-entertainment and games
  • Experience working with Motion Capture and Virtual Production technology in a production environment
  • Experience integrating audio / video / motion capture systems
  • Strong C# skills (networking, audio)
  • Proven in-depth and thoughtful technical understanding of processes and people to lead by example
  • Experience managing teams of engineers working independently
  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellence in technical architecture, skills, and workflows

  • Experience with Unity, including customizing the Unity editor
  • Experience with Games
  • Experience with pipeline tools / languages (Python)
  • Experience developing tools for artists
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering results in an agile development environment
