JOB DESCRIPTION

Ubisoft Annecy is looking for its production studio a new Technical Art Director to join and participate to the development of a new AAA project.

Directly managed by the Producer and collaborating with the Artistic Director, the TD Art is responsible for research, innovation, technical quality of the production. His main goal and missions are to:

  • Assure the integration and optimization of artistical content within the engine
  • Put in place and document the graphic production pipeline (modeling, animation, characters, lighting, SFX, etc..) and assure the follow up
  • Respect next gen console constraints
  • Test the new tools before their deployment into production and produce a technical reference and/or technical constraints document, keep it current and communicate it so that the team can refer to it when required
  • Propose and create the right tools to accelerate certain procedural tasks which the graphic team is responsible for
  • Create, organize and lead training sessions for the graphic team members on the tools and techniques chosen and follow through that they are being well used throughout the project.
  • Assure the homogeneity of the technical quality throughout the game by linking art and programming team’s need.
  • Guide and provide constant support to the team members

QUALIFICATIONS

You have minimum 5 years of experience in a TD Art or Assistant TD position and worked on released AAA titles.

You are a passionate gamer with a solid video game culture and have an experience in the supervision of artists through a creation process is an asset.

You show detailed knowledge of the technical constraints of engines and the different game platforms plus some knowledge of 2D and 3D graphic software, an asset management system and a programming language (C++…)
