Our Studio

Ubisoft Toronto is one of the largest development studios within Ubisoft, employing talented developers from around the world. We create worlds and tell stories that grip you, inspire you and challenge you. Since opening in 2010, we have shipped innovative game projects on some of Ubisoft’s biggest brands: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, For Honor and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.

Most recently, we launched Far Cry 6, the most ambitious Far Cry game to date, featuring the talented Giancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo. Our studio has also led the development of the newest game in the Watch Dogs franchise – Watch Dogs: Legion (2020), a stand out for its tech and design work, play as anyone gameplay in an open world, and rich and detailed rendition of a future London. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (2018) was Ubisoft Toronto’s first new IP, using technology that seamlessly blended physical and digital gameplay. Job Description

As a Talent Sourcing Specialist at Ubisoft Toronto, you have direct influence on our ability to recruit top talent. You thrive on the search for new talent and you care about each candidate’s interaction with you, your team, and Ubisoft – after all, you’re passionate about the meaningful relationships you cultivate between the studio and top prospects.

Type of Position: Permanent, full-time; Toronto, Ontario; Hybrid, flexible work environment

The daily life of a Talent Sourcing Specialist at Ubisoft Toronto

  • Develop sourcing and networking strategies to attract prospective candidates for all positions at Ubisoft Toronto;
  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition & internal mobility team to set recruitment priorities;
  • Support full cycle recruitment functions from job advertisement, sourcing, screening, offer negotiation, to hiring of successful candidates;
  • Identify requirements of ideal profiles from hiring managers;
  • Use innovative tools and methods available to find suitable candidates;
  • Provide timely follow-up’s with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience;
  • Constantly source and build relationships with potential candidates to maintain a strong pipeline for future vacancies;
  • Develop an awareness of local competitors, industry trends, and game studio openings/closures;
  • Represent Ubisoft Toronto at industry events, using the opportunity to network and interact with prospective candidates;
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers and peers across the Toronto studio and other Ubisoft locations worldwide;
  • Maintain & provide weekly recruitment reports;
  • Post and manage job ads;
  • Participate in special projects and events.

What it takes to make it

  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources & Labour Relations or equivalent;
  • Around 5 years of recruitment experience or other relevant experience (within a corporate recruiting environment a huge plus);
  • Skilled in direct sourcing techniques and other innovative ways of sourcing talent in the video game market;
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, professional networking platforms, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Comfortable with constructively providing feedback;
  • Ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term goals;
  • A highly collaborative spirit & people-centric mindset;
  • Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in finding both active and passive job seekers;
  • Polished communication skills and proven experience in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers;
  • Attention to detail and process oriented;
  • Organized with a strong capacity to recognize priorities;
  • Takes initiative, follow through and capacity to make important decisions;
