Job Description

As a Producer within Ubisoft Halifax you will play a key role in the creation of our teams' next adventure! Working within the broader Production group, you will have direct responsibilities for the efficient management of our Development Team to ensure deadlines are achieved and work quality fits Ubisoft Standards! As our newest Producer, you will collaborate with team members across a broad range of disciplines (Art, Programming, Design, etc.) and work to ensure development guidelines are clear and success factors are met from conception to launch, working closely with various Development Partners! This role reports directly to the Production Director.

Under the supervision of the Production Director, and support of an editorial team, the Producers tasks will be:

  • Supervise production (from Conception to Post-Launch) on a growing portfolio of mobile games.
  • Contribute to improving the quality of our games, productivity of our teams, and efficiency of our processes. Additionally, making recommendations on development process improvements, game content, business model, and/or partnership opportunities!
  • Mentor and encourage the development of junior production staff.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across multi-studio, co-development environments within AAA Mobile game projects.
  • Prioritize competing deadlines while structuring our team to support these initiatives!
  • Frequently document and monitor developments within Task Management Tools (Jira).
  • Prioritize Jira backlog tasks within the project and support the delivery of those tasks/stories based on priorities determined in conjunction with Management Teams.
  • Play mobile games on a regular basis to identify upcoming trends within the free-to-play space while looking for ways these trends can influence our future project choices.

Qualifications

  • 5 Years experience within the video-game industry, ideally in Mobile Games!
  • A demonstrated excellent knowledge of production, difficulties generally encountered by development teams and solutions tailored to their requirements;
  • A track record of analyzing problems and providing consistent guidance across a variety of different areas; art, game design, organization, business, etc.
  • An ability to simultaneously manage various projects, using tech trends, editorial feedback and varied commercial opportunities.
  • A genuine interest in understanding in consumer expectations, usage of products, and business initiatives!
  • Advanced time management, organizational, and leadership skills;
  • A proven ability to effectively communicate across different audiences throughout a broad range of topics. e.g. tech, buisiness, and creative.

Studio Description

We are located in the Heart of the City overlooking the beautiful waterfront, in the historic and Iconic Keith's Brewery. Come summer we work a little more each day so we can take Friday afternoon's off, allowing us to soak up the sun as we stroll the boardwalk and have a drink at one of the many cafes lining the iconic Halifax Harbour!
