Job Description

The position is based in Shanghai, with the Ubisoft IT department, and specifically in the “Enterprise Infrastructure” team, whose objective is to design and deploy the technical solutions supporting the activity of Ubisoft employees around the world.

Inside this department, you will be joining the network team as Network Administrator which aims to maintain and optimize the network infrastructure and assisting Ubisoft studios in their continuous evolution. You will contribute to the value-added projects for Ubisoft's structure. You will act as a mentor for the team and lead them to the automation road.

As a member of a group of infrastructure administrators, the candidate for this position must manage Ubisoft's network equipment across the World. It will also participate in large-scale technology projects.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities and routine tasks of the Network Administrator are to:

  • Install and maintain various network equipment, including Wi-Fi, switches, routers.
  • Deploy and maintain Site-to-Site VPN infrastructure.
  • Manage company firewalls and their rule sets.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services.
  • Enforce network security policies and procedures.
  • Perform proactive network capacity management activities.
  • Maintain documentation regarding network hardware and software.
  • Participate in the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices, and metrics as directed.
  • Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design, and standards.
  • Answer user’s queries and service requests.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of emergency situations on the network, must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required
  • Carry out all other related tasks.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Significative experience in network administration in a large organization

  • CCNP certification is preferred
  • RHCE Certification is preferred

Knowledge

  • Oral and written comprehension of English
  • Expertise in Cisco switches and routers, and in the configuration of IOS
  • Expertise in network technologies, protocols, and concepts, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, SMTP, CIFS, SMB, etc.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies
  • Knowledge of Linux-based network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of IP v6 and implementation in a corporate network environment
  • Knowledge of iptables on Linux
  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA
  • Knowledge of monitoring and dashboarding tool (Orion, Zabbix, Grafana, Elastic Search, etc.)
  • Knowledge of programming (shell scripting, PerlPython, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Ansible, AWX, Git
  • Service Now (a plus)
  • Jira (a plus)
