Job Description

Rainbow Six Siege is the acclaimed first-person shooter franchise. Inspired by the reality of counter terrorist operatives across the world, Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience.

As a Development Tester (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Berlin, your role is to provide constant support to the development team and project by ensuring all changes submitted to the game are functional and to the expected level of quality.

What you will do:

  • Be responsible for quality and stability of new game content, new features and upcoming releases.

  • Work side-by-side with development teams in assisting bug investigation (reporting, reproduction, isolation) to ensure the title is achieving planned milestones.

  • Perform daily tests, reports and monitor software errors (bugs) and game design problems in a bug database.

  • Isolate and reproduce bugs to assess gravity and probability based on Ubisoft’s standards and suggest solutions.

  • Work alongside developers, artists and designers to perform specific tests.

  • Verify fixes applied by developers (bug regression).

  • Validate high risk changes before they are integrated into the main version in order to ensure stability and basic functionality.

  • Deliver feedback and reports to the development team.

  • Create and maintain relevant documentation to aid with development and testing.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar QA/QC position. Preferably as an embedded tester.

  • Expertise in writing test-cases and setting up test procedures.

  • Great understanding of development processes and the needs of different departments throughout a development cycle.

  • Experience with defect & test case management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, Xray).

  • Experience with MS Office, Confluence, SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of gaming platforms (PC, PS, Xbox etc).

  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and independent work style.

  • Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

* ISTQB-Certification is a plus
