Job Description

Summary

The Data Center Facilities Manager is responsible for the proper operations of Ubisoft Data Center facilities including Ubisoft owned locations and collocation sites.

Mission

The main responsibilities tasks of the Data Center Facilities Manager are to:

  • Manage all aspects (electromechanical, maintenance, security, etc.) of Ubisoft owned Data Centers;
  • Manage relationships and contracts with Collocation Data Centers;
  • Establish and maintain a capacity management strategy considering multiple aspects (Growth, Investment, etc.)
  • Define operating procedures for technicians (Remote hands or Ubisoft technicians) teams;
  • Act as the main point of contact to gather requirements from Data Centers users;
  • Participate in designing new concepts;
  • Participate in the creation of new Data Centers for Ubisoft (Collocation and owned Data Centers);
  • Participate in deploying monitoring capabilities;
  • Train the teams on basic safety procedures.

Qualifications

Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) certification is an asset

Relevant experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience operating a data center

Skills

  • Organized and superior attention to details
  • Ability to interface with suppliers
  • Capacity to manage emergencies
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new technologies
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment

Knowledge

  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Expert with data center cooling, power and UPS, fire suppression, cabling and racking
  • Data center lexicon knowledge
  • Electrical and HVAC knowledge
  • Knowledge of green IT initiatives
