Job Description

Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Analytics and Data Specialist knowledgeable in analytics, tracking, and data manipulation. The Data Analyst will build statistical predictive models and analyses on player behavior, economies, and data of our games.

This position will report to the Lead Data Analyst. It is a full-time position located in Düsseldorf, Germany.

In this role, you will

  • Participate in the full lifecycle of analytic data, from requirements to implementation, maintenance, and usage.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the tracking strategy for a game, working closely with the (global) tools and production teams.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis in association with the lead game analyst.

Qualifications

We are looking for a data person with an interest in analytics to help us sort out and make sense of our game data.

  • A degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, etc), or equivalent work experience.
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
  • Experienced in an (analytics) scripting language, such as R or Python.
  • Excellent English, presentation, and communication skills.

Bonus

  • Knowledge of SQL-based languages (e.g. MySQL, Hive, etc).
  • Knowledge of databases, Spark, or R Shiny dashboarding solutions.
  • Familiarity with any dashboarding/reporting solutions, especially Tableau and/or Microstrategy a plus.
  • Experience working on and deploying Machine Learning models.
  • Prior experience in gaming (e.g. a hobby data project, or an internship).
  • Knowledge of German or French.
