On being a Compensation Analyst at Ubisoft Toronto

The Compensation Analyst supports the studio’s renumeration policies and provides analysis on new and existing compensation programs ensuring legal compliance and budgets are adhered to.

Type of Position: 1 year, contract

The daily life of a Compensation Analyst at Ubisoft Toronto

  • Support the annual compensation salary planning and budgeting process;
  • Evaluate the alignment of employee pay levels considering internal equity and external competitiveness as well as employee performance/contribution;
  • Assist in the testing and implementation of the Compensation Review Tool;
  • Conduct market pay analysis to determine the competitiveness of pay and make recommendations for pay adjustments;
  • Assist in developing the strategic direction of base pay, variable pay, health plans and other benefit programs;
  • Collaborate with HR Partners on compensation-related issues;
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and clients to understand various total rewards program goals and incorporate feedback;
  • Assist in equity award administration;
  • Produce ad hoc analyses based on business requests or proactively look for new opportunities.

What it takes to make it

  • A minimum of 3 years of significant experience in global compensation and benefits/total reward experience;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) course work or certification preferred;
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and execute quickly and efficiently;
  • Extremely curious; not satisfied with easy or convenient answers; drives issues to root cause;
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to succinctly summarize insights and quantitatively assess business and financial impact;
  • Strong service orientation and sense of urgency in responding to client requests;
  • Strong analytical ability (must have advanced MS Excel skills: vlookup, pivot tables, use of formulas etc.);
  • Strong knowledge of applicable labour and employment law;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;
  • Creative and strategic studio-wide mindset;
  • Ability to work well with multiple, changing priorities and tight deadlines;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Flawless attention to detail.
