Tycer Media is the production team behind Friend — a Minecraft YouTube channel with over 1.5M subscribers and 600M+ views. We create story-driven, family-friendly Minecraft content built around original characters, custom resource packs, and cinematic roleplay narratives. The Role

We're hiring a temporary modeller/resource pack artist to cover for a core team member over the coming weeks, with the option to stay on call for future absence cover.

You'll be creating the visual assets that go directly into our published videos. This means Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 resource packs — skins, textures, custom block models — as well as BlockBench models. You'll work from creative briefs provided by our writers and production team, turning script concepts into production-ready assets that match our established look and feel.

We move fast. A typical brief might involve 10–12 character skins plus accompanying texture work with a 24-hour turnaround. If that pace excites you rather than worries you, keep reading.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating custom Minecraft resource packs (skins, textures, block models) for Java Edition 1.21.1

• Building and rigging Blockbench skins & models for use in video production

• Working from script briefs and character references to deliver assets that match our existing visual style

• Handling large asset lists (10–12 skins + texture packs) within 24-hour turnarounds when required

• Communicating daily with the team via Discord

• Approx 6-8 hours of work per video

What We're Looking For

• A portfolio or proven track record with Minecraft resource pack creation and/or BlockBench modelling — non-negotiable, please don't apply without examples of your work.

• Ability to study and match an existing art style across a range of assets

• Comfortable working to tight, production-paced deadlines

• Strong communication skills and reliably responsive on Discord

• A good culture fit — we're a close, collaborative team that works hard but doesn't take itself too seriously

• Must be 18+

• Available for an immediate start

Contract Details

• Type: Temporary (initial few weeks) + On-Call for future sickness/absence cover

• Rate: $15/hr

• Location: Remote, worldwide — EU/UK timezone strongly preferred for turnaround speed
