About the Role

Twitch's Data Platform organization builds and operates the technology that powers data-driven operation and innovation for the entire company. As a Technical Program Manager, Data Platform, you will drive complex cross-functional data programs across Twitch like event ownership attribution, data privacy compliance, data technology upgrades, and many other data-driven initiatives.

You will collaborate in a truly interdisciplinary environment, with engineering, product, and data colleagues, as well as business and legal stakeholders across the company, all of whom are passionate, and are eager to better integrate data into their tools and strategies. You will directly report to the Data Platform organization leadership.

You Will:

  • Own and drive the process to plan, prioritize, and deliver new products, features, critical maintenance, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed. These efforts require you to work with multiple teams across platform and product organizations.
  • Lead Sprint activities, identify risk, help teams remove blockers, handle dependencies, and resolve prioritization conflicts.
  • Interface with engineers, data analysts, and legal to establish and manage data privacy and governance efforts to ensure we capture high-quality, compliant data across our platform.
  • Provide technical transparency through clear and concise summaries for the programs you own to a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Foster constructive dialogue, harmonize conflicting views, and lead timely resolution of contentious issues to ensure that proper tradeoffs are made and communicated.
  • Help plan, execute, communicate project progress within your roadmap.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of industry experience implementing and delivering data initiatives as a technical manager, program, developer lead, or equivalent.
  • Experience in creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans; prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals.
  • SQL and Data Analysis proficiency.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence(using JIRA APIs a plus).
  • Demonstrated track record of cultivating strong working relationships and driving collaboration across multiple product and platform teams.
  • Exceptional customer and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical stakeholders across various business units and executives.
  • Curiosity to dig several layers deep into technical solutions with an eye toward continuous improvement.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Experience working with Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake a plus.
  • Understanding of gaming, streaming, and online entertainment.
  • BS or MS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in software / web development

The pay range for this position in Colorado and Connecticut is $120,000 - $200,000 yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act and CT House Bill Number 6380. Base pay information is based on market location.
