We are looking for exceptional people to join BAMTECH’s team, a group of passionate fans and digital innovators. We build, operate and monetize the digital products of the National Hockey League, RIOT Games and other properties. Our team spans advertising sales and sponsorships, content, product, marketing, and premium subscription offerings for hockey and eSport fans around the globe.

The Manager, Ad Operations will be supporting the execution of new and existing ad campaigns across BAMTECH’s new ad product and technology initiatives that run across properties including the NHL.com, NHL.TV and Riot Games. This person will be responsible for initiatives across video (mobile web, desktop, and connected devices), display, and mobile. In addition to relevant professional experience, he/she has excellent communication and critical thinking skills, is able to complete tasks at digital speed with a short learning curve in new areas. The ideal candidate will be able to Identify new trends in video advertising and across the digital landscape to enhance our current offerings, and is positive, energetic, responsible, analytical, collaborative and focused. This position will report to our Director of Ad Operations. Hockey and eSport fandom is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works with sales, client support and advertising product teams to implement and oversee ad campaigns across NHL.TV, NHL.com, NHL App and Riot Games.
  • Set up, test, traffic, and optimize online ad campaigns – both video and display – working with advertisers, agencies and ad networks to receive all needed creative assets for campaign launches
  • Work with advertisers, agencies and ad networks to ensure that all parties are tracking against trafficking timelines and creative delivery dates
  • Be responsible for successful QA and testing of all 3rd party tags, and all advertiser-provided creative assets prior to launch
  • Monitor campaigns throughout lifecycle to ensure full delivery needs will be met by campaign end dates, while also proactively communicating with client support and sales team identifying any issues with campaign delivery
  • Review performance results regularly and optimize campaigns, including suggestions for improved performance by creative or by ad-type
  • Work effectively with clients and agencies to manage technical implementation of third party rich media creative
  • Collaborate with internal tech and product teams to ensure all current platform as well as feature enhancements meet monetization and ad-serving needs, across display and video assets
  • Proactively communicate key insights from the performance of active campaigns to the relevant internal teams: client services, sales, and product

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with campaign implementation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting
  • Expert-level understanding of video ad management, ad-serving and ad trafficking
  • Expertise in DFP and Freewheel strongly preferred
  • A deep understanding of programmatic ad sales and best practices in monetizing ad revenue across partners/exchanges
  • An understanding of third-party ad tags
  • The ability to lead projects across multiple stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Strong project management, organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMPs), Supply Side Platforms (SSPs) and third-party ad technologies
  • Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about existing and emerging digital media and ad products

Required Education

  • A Bachelor’ Degree with experience in digital media and publisher-side ad operations experience
