Unreal Assembly Tech - Entry Level [Animation Department]

The Third Floor is looking for an Unreal Assembly Tech - Entry Level to join our Finals Animation team using Unreal Game Engine and Maya. The ideal candidate will come with a good amount of experience in both softwares. They will work within our Assembly Tech team to provide IO and QC support for our Finals Animation department.
Full Time. Project based. Remote. Must be based in British Columbia, Canada.
Responsibilities:
Drive Asset IO (Environments, Props, Animations) between Unreal and Maya
Support the Animation, Environment and Lighting departments with scene setup
Validate scene contents to ensure shot quality between department handoffs
Essential Skills:
Experienced with Unreal
Experienced with Maya
Understanding of both Maya and Unreal asset and animation workflows
Familiarity with FBX, ABC and VAT based import and export workflows
Experience using third party Maya and Unreal tools
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with Maya’s Node Editor and Relationship Editors
Experience with Source Control (Perforce preferred)
Experience with Blueprints, particularly editor utility widgets
Personal attributes:
Able to think creatively and resolve technical challenges and limitations
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both on a technical and creative basis
Detail Oriented
Artistically as well as technically inclined
Strong teamwork ethic
Strong time management and organizational skills
The pay scale is between $25 - $40 CAD / hour based on experience, skillset and other factors, plus additional Perks and Benefits.
