Get to know the role

  • Job Title: IT System Administrator

  • Job Summary: As a Systems Administrator with The Pokemon Company International, your mission is to proactively monitor, update, and provide exceptional customer service in support of our IT systems and services. This role is heavily relied upon to manage our efforts with respect to reliability and availability across all IT platforms. Being diligent in managing system performance, alerting, and articulate in communicating resolution steps is key to being successful. They will also assist in the day-to-day operation, support, and troubleshooting of corporate servers, software systems, and services.

What you’ll do

  • Perform technical management of servers, applications, and services to ensure that all systems are well-maintained for providing high levels of availability and reliability.

  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all on premise and cloud server environments.

  • Be responsible for proactive management, support, and drive improvement of existing systems.

  • Escalate problems to vendors for advanced corrections. Logs, tracks, and coordinates vendor activities related to system maintenance, warranty, and vendor supported work.

  • Provide post-mortem support to determine root cause of service interruptions and make recommendations on changes needed to prevent recurrence.

  • Handle intake of new systems and services from engineering team, in discovery, documentation, and future improvements.

  • Seek out opportunities to automate and reduce repetitive manual procedures and tasks.

  • Document technical problems, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for all systems related processes.

  • Keep team members informed of task statuses ensuring accurate and up-to-date communication among team members.

  • Provide technical leadership support as an escalation for Service Desk team members. Deliver guidance or direction to the IT team and engage external vendor support as required.

  • Ensure consistent, timely, and effective response for all technical incidents/tickets reported by customers.

  • Act as first responder in the on-call rotation.

What you’ll bring

  • 5 years+ of experience in technical enterprise systems administration including configuration, and management of Microsoft systems and services. Management of Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory, Group Policy, File Services, Exchange, and PowerShell scripting.

  • 3 years+ administration in virtual guest operating system performance, troubleshooting, and maintenance, specifically Windows Server and Linux

  • 3 years+ of experience administering Azure AD, Intune, M365, hybrid connectivity.

  • Experience developing workload scripting to drive efficiency (python, PowerShell, JSON, JavaScript, etc.).

  • Experience managing monitoring and logging tools for observability and reporting.

  • Experience providing functional Tier III Service Desk support in Windows and macOS environments.

  • Functional experience with configuration and management of AWS resources.

  • Integration with SaaS and Single Sign-On (SSO) providers in cloud and on-premise services.

  • Demonstrated experience with project coordination and time management, using analytical skills to work on multiple projects while simultaneously having limited supervision.

  • A working history of using strong, professional communication skills, both verbal and written, including the skill to articulate, and translate technical language to non-technical customers.

  • Industry Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, VCP, Server+, PMP) are a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Base salary range: For this role, new hires generally start between $102,000.00 - $120,650.00. The full range is $102,000.00 - $152,000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
