The Pokémon Company International (TPCi), a subsidiary of The Pokémon Company in Japan, manages the property outside of Asia and is responsible for brand management, licensing, marketing, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, home entertainment, and the official Pokémon website. Reporting to the Manager of Organized Play handing global Premier Events, this position supports the global efforts of Organized Play to execute a global championship series in several product categories. The primary goal is to support players of Organized Play Premier Events with all travel, prizing, and communication needs.

What You Will Do

  • Manage Organized Play travel and hospitality initiatives linked to Premier Events with focus on players
  • Be point of contact for players and internal groups seeking information about Premier Events and OP Programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, players, and groups assisting in player travel, hotel management, and prize distribution
  • Manage prizing and awards projects and planning for global Premier Events including Regionals, Internationals, and Worlds
  • Responsible for contacting players as needed to support key initiatives
  • Track player-focused needs including travel itineraries, hotel information, tournament performance, and schedules
  • Generate reports on tournament experience, quality, and player feedback and provide recommendations with a player-focused attitude
  • Assist in the development and implementation of player-focused policy and rules
  • Be onsite to provide assistance to players at major international events
  • Manage small-to-medium projects related to Premier Events as assigned
  • Be a professional representation of the team and contribute to a positive work environment

What You Will Bring

  • 2 years experience in current Organized Play, esports, or sports programs
  • Ability to work as a part of a cross functional team
  • Experience with scheduling tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Consistency in delivering accurate, on time information to internal and external groups
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience working in environment of uncertainty
  • Comfortable with MS office suite
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Existing knowledge of the Pokémon brand, and Play! program a plus
  • Existing knowledge of Microsoft Project, Workfront, JIRA, and Sharepoint a plus
