We are seeking a Camera Layout Artist to collaborate with our Cinematics Director, Vprod, Art, Design, Narrative, and Animation teams to produce AAA-quality cinematics. The ideal candidate will create previz from scenes based on scripts or storyboards. Responsibilities include finalizing cameras, adjusting depth of field (DOF), making edits, and seamlessly integrating scenes into the game engine.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Cinematics Director, team members to deliver AAA quality cinematics.

  • Previz scenes based on scripts or storyboards, ensuring alignment with creative vision and narrative objectives.

  • Finalize camera setups, including depth of field (DOF) adjustments and edits, to enhance cinematic quality and storytelling impact.

  • Integrate scenes into the game engine, ensuring seamless camera transition from cinematics to gameplay.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Expert skills in film making language and actor blocking.

  • Expert understanding of cinematography principles, including composition, framing, camera movement, depth of field, camera lens, and performances.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in shipped AAA game or film.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, and Motion Builder

  • Adaptability to evolving project requirements and timelines.

  • A comprehensive portfolio showcasing previous camera layout, previsualization, and animation work demonstrating proficiency in storytelling, composition, camera movement, and scene blocking.

(This is a temporary “Project Hire” position. The anticipated duration of this assignment will vary. TNM Project Hire employees will be eligible to participate in a number of TNM benefit plans such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and flexible PTO)

TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $87,000 - $115,000
