The Opportunity:

Do you have a passion for people, gaming, and esports? Our People & Culture Team is looking for a People & Culture Manager, EU, who has a clear perspective on how we should be supporting our people and is excited to roll up their sleeves and get to work. The People & Culture Manager, EU, will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department for EU staff, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the NL HR operational tasks relating to policy adherence/adoption, vacation time, sick leave, contracts, etc.
  • Provide consultative guidance and input on salary proposals, job descriptions and
  • Serve as the point of contact for day-to-day HR and people-related questions and issues in the NL office.
  • Work with Managers to provide constructive feedback and coaching to employees; assist Managers with effective management of their teams to instill a culture of feedback and collaboration.
  • Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources best practices and share knowledge with the team to ensure continuous improvement in the offered service. Identify and communicate the implications to business areas as appropriate.
  • Onboard all new hires in the NL office in coordination with business leaders, facilities, and technology.
  • Work with internal recruiters, hiring managers, and external applicants throughout the recruitment life-cycle, from job postings and pre-screening to applicant management and interviewing.
  • Monitor the health, safety, and welfare of all team members and support and advise managers in dealing with situations that arise.
  • Manage and make recommendations to improve HR tools and policies.
  • Support international staff and players on Dutch visa and relocation matters, and serve as the main point of contact for NOC NSF.
  • Work with the Global People & Culture team to execute initiatives including talent management and labor law-related matters.
  • Act as the driver of the office culture, organizing company events, finding opportunities for employee recognition, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years related experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Sound knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation in the Netherlands
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing priorities based on organization needs.
  • Creative problem solver with a consultative approach.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders, from the executive leadership team to external vendors, insurances, IND, UWV, etc., internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Strong collaborator and team player.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities and goals.
