T1’s hiring a Los Angeles-based Creative Director to define and mold our content for the future. This role will work with the Executive Producer of Content and T1’s internal marketing, editorial, and social teams to provide best practices on branding and art direction.

We’re searching for a problem solver, a strong player-coach with a passion for video game culture, great design, and content. Equal parts left and right brain, this person is an innovative, creative, and a natural storyteller who shares, and empowers their team to discover new and innovative ways to highlight gaming culture.

Objectives

  • Lead the continued expansion of the creative projects of the T1 content studio.
  • Identify organic storytelling opportunities among the brand, working directly with the team’s Executive Producer and Senior Producer
  • Defining the “T1” story
  • Develop and advocate for the visual brand language of the network and across social platforms.
  • Continue to establish T1 as an authority in North American gaming culture, with fresh new ideas
  • Drive new and better ways to collaborate within the studio and to collaborate externally with new partners.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee T1 content teams from project conception through final production details.
  • Touches all aspects of creative content, asset development.
  • Establishes T1’s editorial voice in copy, branding, social media.
  • Scout, pitch, and book T1 talent and players for content partnerships
  • Ensure that teams deliver projects that are exceptional creatively and technically.
  • Collaborate with partners (Marketing, Advertising, and Editorial) to create campaigns that align across platforms and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with T1 brand, video game industry/ecosystem
  • Deep rolodex of contacts across all realms of media
  • Experience working within production house, newsroom, or advertising agency preferred
  • Broad experience including brand identity, art direction, content strategy and development, video and audio production
  • Minimum 8 years of digital marketing, content, and brand experience
  • Portfolio of work required
