About the role:

As our Gamer Communication Lead you will be responsible for everything related to our brand voice. You will play an instrumental role in player acquisition, engagement, and retention by acting as our game and brand advocate, bringing to life the voice of Supersocial and our developer persona in social media and other communication channels. You will develop and execute the content strategy to build and nurture our image amongst the player/developer community and the gaming universe.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute content strategy across all communication channels, acting as the voice of the brand working closely with our Creative Director; This includes curating, sourcing & scheduling;
  • Write creative, witty, and engaging content that brings to life an exciting developer persona that effectively interacts with the player and developer communities;
  • Develop a thorough analysis of the player and developer behaviours in our distribution platform, essentially ‘hacking’ the platform, and understanding what opportunities exist to build, nurture and expand our player network;
  • Identify key influencers, player groups, forums and channels in which we must develop a relationship and present ideas on how to engage effectively;
  • Support the Player Acquisition Lead with engaging communication that helps accomplish our acquisition goals;
  • Monitor and report online reviews, feedback, and player requests to support product development team on game improvements;
  • Keep up to date with trends, competitors' engagement with their players and brand mentions;
  • Present weekly social engagement reports, highlighting key data points for game improvement and communication strategy refinement;

Must have:

Functional Skills -

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • 2+ years of experience as a journalist/blogger/social media writer/agency copywriter;
  • Native English speaker
  • Data-driven: competent with analytics and extracting insights from data

Soft Skills -

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: ability to operate in ambiguity and roll up your sleeves.
  • Exceptional operator with the ability to see the big picture
  • Self-starter with ability to execute and deliver
  • Experience working across multiple teams in different disciplines, with excellent relationship and communications skills
  • Passion for videogames and deep interest in gamerculture

Nice to have:

  • Experience writing for young people - kids, teens, young adults
  • Work experience within the gaming industry
