Position Overview

The Sales Planner is responsible for generating, analyzing and communicating sales proposals to the sales organization for presentation to Advertising Agencies and/or clients. Specifically, the Sales Planner will help create and position compelling sponsorship and media proposals to drive revenue growth & provide best in class customer service to the Sales organization.

This Sales Planner will report to the VP Partnerships & Strategic Marketing, as part of the larger Commercial Department. As a member of the Commercial Department, the Sales Planner will work alongside talented individuals across sales, partnerships, marketing, creative, content and event operations. The Sales Planner will also support strategic sales planning, inventory forecasting/utilization, and ad product pricing/packaging.

Responsibilities

Support Sales team in executing and facilitating Pre-Sale and Post-Sale functions, including:

  • Managing the RFP process from proposal generation to order entry and post-campaign tasks
  • Maintaining the pipeline in collaboration with the Sales team
  • Executing budget revisions, including incremental spends and cancellations
  • Working cross functionally with varying departments, such as Ad Ops, Event Ops, Marketing, Content, Product etc. to help fulfill a variety of client requests
  • Collaborating closely with the Ad Ops to execute campaigns, implement optimizations, and address reporting needs
  • Working in partnership with the Finance team to assist with the billing process
  • Assisting in the preparation and follow-up for client meetings
  • Reviewing trades, reading sales strategy literature, and pulling industry and account-specific information to help drive revenue growth

Requirements

  • 1-2 years prior work experience; media planning and/or buying experience a plus
  • An excitement to work in a collaborative Ad Sales team environment and be part of the esports and gaming industry at large
  • A positive approach towards day to day tasks along with a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail and robust interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with Keynote, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficiency in media math and terminology
  • Self-starter, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership and accountability and act on goals and objectives
  • The ability to strategically and tactically respond to client inquiries
