Sunblink is a new game studio located in Boulder, CO founded by three industry veterans who have been making hit games for the last 15 years. Together, we have created and managed some of the highest grossing and most downloaded games of the last decade. We are an intensely creative shop working on two well-funded real-time multiplayer games, one of which is based on original IP (launching Summer 2022) and the other leveraging one of the largest and most beloved entertainment brands in the world (launching Spring 2023). We're looking for the best folks in the industry who share our passion for creating impactful and fun experiences that players will love for years to come.

As a Senior Producer at Sunblink, you'll personally lead engineers, artists, and designers in creating games from inception to completion. Through selfless facilitation, and thoughtful organization you'll ensure that projects meet milestone deadlines and that any obstacles are obliterated in the process. You're the type of person who enjoys communicating with everyone on the team, from company leadership to entry-level teammates. You'll make sure that the team is having fun as you all concept, create, and deliver games that you love to play.

An ideal candidate has experience shipping games on a variety of platforms, preferably with mobile/console experience.

This job is based in Boulder, CO, but we are open to permanently remote candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day processes and planning
  • Identify critical path risks and issues, driving initiatives to resolve them
  • Organize Jira and Confluence with accuracy
  • Continue optimizing internal team processes
  • Work with company leadership and production staff to ensure that the team is happy and on-track for milestone deliveries
  • Partner with other production staff to refine processes at the organization level, designing a robust and balanced solution for all projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on production or project management experience in a game development capacity
  • Very comfortable in Agile Development methodologies (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage
  • Empathetic perspective, especially regarding conflict resolution
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize between a project's needs
  • An attitude that sees failure as an opportunity

Pluses

  • Deep knowledge of Jira, Confluence, as an admin
  • Rudimentary understanding of game design and a desire to make games fun
  • Positive, upbeat attitude
  • Interest in moving to Boulder, CO or the surrounding area (post-COVID!)
