About the Position

This is a mid to senior position focused on various technology subsystems that make up the game stack; examples including such things as animation systems, AI/ML components, and services that run outside of the game engine. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Responsible for:

  • Implement, refactor and maintain game and low-level engine systems
  • Design, write, debug and refine core systems, features, tools and infrastructure as needed
  • Contribute extensively to the core game system technologies
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve runtime and author time issues
  • Communicate features and collaborate with engineering and content teams (both internal and external)
  • Participate in the design, performance and code review process

Profile:

  • Full stack experience across e.g. back-end services, multiplayer code, real-time rendering, content authoring tools, gameplay, UX, etc.
  • 5+ years programming experience
  • Knowledge of software design practices including modular architecture, event-driven architecture, and software design patterns
  • Experience with an off-the-shelf game engine such as Unity3D or Unreal
  • Experience with one or more C-family programming languages. C# knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with one or more Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Prior development working with client/server game systems
