We are now looking for a book publishing editor with the Star Stable Entertainment Books team to cover a 12 months parental leave where you will assist, manage and drive projects within editorial, publishing projects - but also investigate and search for new book ideas in different product lines.

Main tasks:

  • Commission authors, illustrators and other content producers for book projects
  • Edit manuscripts for novels, short stories, audio, comics and other narrative content
  • Support editors, authors, illustrators and translators to ensure product quality and brand and lore alignment, such as creating briefs and references for narrative and visual content
  • Independently develop book publishing products based on SSEs product lines
  • Assist book publishing stakeholders by providing relevant material, such as manuscripts, translations, cover images, marketing and sales material
  • Collaborate with book publishing partners and Star Stable teams, for example with PR, events and marketing campaigns
  • Drive story and lore development in book publishing projects at Star Stable Entertainment in collaboration with other teams

What about you?

To succeed in this role you have prior experience and background in book publishing, managing a book project from start to publication. You also have experience from editing and developing manuscripts.

We also need you to:

  • Have experience from working with children’s/young adult books
  • Fluently speak/write in english
  • Works well with Microsoft Office

You thrive in an environment that changes and moves fast and where you can be curious and test new ideas. You are interested in finding new ways to reach and attract a reading audience. Great communication skills and to be a collaborative team player is important in this role.
