St. Edward's University is seeking an Esports coach to join our team.

The Esports Coach will assist the university in meeting the goals of the mission statement and the athletic department through professional management of the esports program.

The goals are to 1) provide every opportunity for the esports program to compete on a national level each year, 2) operate with quality and integrity in the athletic department's role as a focal point for school identity and spirit, 3) support the community through public service, and 4) provide opportunities and support for SEU student-athletes to achieve academically and athletically at the highest level and provide programming and resources that help prepare them with skills for life. The individual in this position must promote St. Edward's University in a professional manner at all times while promoting a positive and productive working relationship with other staff members.

For consideration, a Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience required. Master's Degree preferred. Thorough knowledge of industry standards related to the field for all rules and regulations. Examples may include but are not limited to NACE and TESPA. Ability to operate and maintain computer equipment in esports facility including knowledge of gaming platforms, security standards, game production companies and supporting websites. Ability to troubleshoot equipment for optimal gaming and competition experience. Should possess high motivation with a capacity for independent work within the context of an intensely goal-oriented environment. Must possess an unencumbered driver's license and the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
