Working within the German Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Manager MMO is responsible for executing high-level marketing programs to drive user acquisition, winback, retention, and to keep a player-focused mindset on all online paid media campaigns created. The Digital Marketing Manager MMO will develop, implement, track and optimize the digital marketing campaigns for Final Fantasy XIV across DACH, Eastern Europe and Middle East regions.


Key Deliverables:

  • Execute all digital marketing campaigns for new acquisition, winback and retention purposes together with our agencies

  • Frequently measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI, RoAS and other relevant KPIs) to keep optimizations frequently

  • Commit to an always-on marketing mentality, testing and taking learnings to constantly optimize spend and performance based on these insights

  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to evaluate touch points in the customer journey, while improving tracking to measure to better reflect on ROI, RoAS and KPIs with efficiency

  • Under the leadership of the Senior Marketing Manager, execute the digital marketing strategy and ensure costs are fully and accurately tracked & reported

  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies with the Marketing Team

Knowledge & Experience:


  • A good experience of planning and executing marketing campaigns, especially in digital marketing, with a results-driven mindset

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEA, marketing database, social media, video and/or display advertising campaigns (ideally with hands-on experience)

  • Experience with A/B testing and result-based interpretation of performance

  • Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing GDN campaigns

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

  • A gamer with a strong understanding of players’ expectations to create the best and most relevant plans, as well as experience and knowledge of game as a service product


  • Experience working in an agency

  • Prior experience marketing games or services in EMEA market

  • Keen interest in and knowledge of video games

  • Interested in and knowledgeable about technology
