We are looking for passionate individuals to join the QA team and help ensure our games are the best they can be.

Quality Assurance at Sports Interactive takes several forms, from specialised functionality testing to more player-centric playtesting and balancing, you will be assessing new and existing features, analysing data, providing valuable feedback and much more.

We believe that good QA Testers can come from a variety of backgrounds; our QA alumni are represented widely both inside and outside of the games industry, as well as within the studio at SI. This is a fantastic opportunity though to gain and develop first-hand experience and career opportunities within the games industry.

This is a full-time, contracted role, that will be based in our brand-new space at Here East, Stratford. In light of the current COVID-19 guidance, it is highly likely that the successful applicant will be initially required to work remote from home (equipment provided) before being available to work from our Here East studio.

The contract will last for 6 months and is expected to start in early January 2022 or earlier if possible. You will need to commit to a 37.5 hour working week, working Monday to Friday, willing to start flexibly between 08:00am and 11:00am

You must have the right to work in the UK and be at least 16 years old to apply.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Work independently to identify defects in the game
  • Provide considered, insightful written and verbal feedback on gameplay and balance
  • Compile clear, concisely written bug reports
  • Test new features against design and verify fixes made to existing defects
  • Follow test-plans, instructions and other tasks through to completion
  • Checking builds meet the required quality

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate would also have:

  • Have at least 1 year working within a games QA role.
  • Experience of the mobile games industry and/or of testing mobile games.
  • An analytical, critical-thinking mindset
  • A great attention to detail
  • Understanding or experience of working in software development lifecycle models such as agile and waterfall
  • Strong communication skills, with a high standard of written English
  • A high level of computer literacy
  • Understanding and/or experience in using different games development engines for example Unity, Unreal or CryEngine
