We are seeking a Build and Release Engineer to help improve the build and deployment pipeline for our games and tools. In this role, you will be working closely with Engineering and QA teams to advance and optimize the build pipelines and improve redundancy of our build services.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and improve development pipelines that the core team relies upon for day-to-day game development (Continuous Integration, build verification and deployment, performance, stability, etc.);

  • Analyze build system’s performance, troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues, work with engineering teams to prevent future issues;

  • Keep the build tools up to date, coordinating the updates with other teams;

  • Review proposed solutions and code written by peers;

  • Update pipeline documentation and configuration guides;

  • Take responsibility for efficiency and maintainability of the build system;

  • Maintain and extend platform tools;

  • Hands-on contribution to the game development as a secondary role;

  • Leading a small team of Engineers (managing tasks and communication, providing mentoring).

Requirements

  • Development and debugging experience in C++;

  • Good grasp on Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, operating systems);

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce, Git, SVN);

  • Good analytical & troubleshooting skills;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Confident English level, written and verbal (at least Intermediate);

  • Self-driven and a team player with a solid work ethic;

  • Inspired to make everyone's job easier by improving team efficiency and reducing technical barriers.

Would be a plus:

  • Development experience in the following languages: Python, C#, TypeScript;

  • Experience with build automation and CI/CD tools (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins);

  • Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.);

  • Experience with Windows administration;

  • Familiarity with OSX and Linux environments;

  • Familiarity with Gradle or XCode;

  • Experience integrating cloud storage systems;

  • Experience with branching and merging;

  • Experience with mobile development and publishing;

  • Experience working across internal and remote engineering teams using agile methodologies.
