Job Description

We are currently seeking for Public Relations Specialist for a League in Latam. The Specialist will have the task of represent the company to journalists, having the responsibility to answer in press releases, interviews, media relations, story pitches and placement. The Public Relations Specialist will create and execute programs to generate positive editorial coverage of the Company. The Public Relations Specialist will report to the General Manager of the league and will also play an instrumental role in spearheading administrative processes and procedures. This individual is an innovative thinker that proposes new ideas to benefit the whole department.

Responsibilities

Research, write, edit and distribute press releases and media alerts.
Organize and support events including press conferences, exhibitions, and media interviews.
Represent the Company on answer enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations.
Identify, develop and implement opportunities for the league.
Research, write and edit materials including pitches, Q&As, talking points and presentations.
Assist in the planning and execution of multi-product events.
Manage expenses to ensure budgets remain within desired projections.
Elaborate periodical reports and documents for General Manager.
Develop and maintain all PR materials and databases, including corporate biographies, media kits, background information, media lists, etc.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
4+ years experience in public relations.
High level written and spoken in English and Spanish
Knowledge on football, esports and video games.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and with PMS programs like Trello or Asana.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
