POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a great recruiter?

Do you pride yourself on your process driven approach and meticulous attention to detail?

Do you hate the bums-on-seats mentality towards recruitment?

Yes? Then look no further…this may be the perfect role for you.

You’ll be supporting our Talent Acquisition & Engagement Manager with recruitment for our European headquarters, managing the full recruitment process from initial approvals all the way through to offer, all whilst making sure that things are ticking over smoothly from a recruitment admin perspective. You’ll cover all sorts of vacancies from Tech to PR to Finance to Production and beyond – there’ll be no shortage of variety. Whilst your focus will be on HQ vacancies, we have a network of recruiters at our development studios across the broader SEGA family that you’ll be able to share best practice with and work on group projects with. We’re quite light on recruitment processes and reporting, so we’d love you to help us in this area.

Most importantly (and it kind of goes without saying), you’ll act as a gate keeper to SEGA, being the first point of contact for candidates in the recruitment process, so you’ll need to embody our values and champion our employer brand to ensure the best possible candidate experience and attract and retain the best talent in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

DAY TO DAY

  • Proactively own all areas of the recruitment lifecycle for your vacancies (both internal & external vacancies); take the brief, source, shortlist, interview, select & offer
  • Own all recruitment administration (of which there can be a lot), whether that be managing approvals (which consist of rationale, org charts, benchmarking & headcount forecasting), conducting candidate screening calls, arranging interviews, booking candidate travel, staying on top of our GDPR obligations
  • Manage our temporary resources (contractors) administration, including approvals, contractor agreements & NDAs
  • Be the owner of our ATS, Jobvite. You’ll look after all Jobvite related admin and optimise workflows, reporting and functionality
  • We don’t use agencies very often, but you’ll manage these relationships and associated admin (agency agreements) when we do
  • Support the Talent Acquisition & Engagement Manager with some of our engagement focused initiatives like our new starter inductions, our monthly company-wide update meeting (SEGA Shout Out) and creating content for our company intranet

PROJECT WORK

  • Revamp and relaunch our employee referral scheme, both internally at SEGA and on a group-wide scale with our development studios
  • Create best practice guides for Jobvite for our hiring managers and offer refresher training
  • Audit our current recruitment agency relationships and establish a PSL
  • Audit our current job posting mediums and make suggestions for improvements and research new mediums

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous end to end recruitment experience (2 years+) – as much as we’d love to develop someone who’s just starting out in their recruitment career, we don’t have the time to teach you basics as well as get you up to speed on how SEGA works and our processes. We don’t want to do you a disservice by throwing you in the deep end when you don’t have the base knowledge and experience to do well in this role.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage your own workload – we’re not going to lie, there can be quite a bit of admin involved in the role, so you’ll need to have good systems in place to stay on top of all of those moving parts and make sure that the candidate experience isn’t affected and other people at SEGA have confidence in the work you’re doing.
  • A people person with strong communication and relationship building skills – you’ll be chatting on the phone with candidates, meeting with them during interviews and spending a lot of time with hiring managers throughout, so it’s important that you can communicate well in person as well as over email

DESIRABLE

  • Passion for the video games industry – this will be helpful when building relationships with candidates and hiring managers as we’re a passionate bunch, but ultimately you can grow to love the industry, so it’s not essential
  • Previous experience with Jobvite (ATS) – Jobvite is pretty easy to get you head around so it isn’t essential that you’ve worked with it before, but it’ll help you hit the ground running if you have
  • Video games recruiting experience – we’d love you to step into the role with a black book of candidates in the industry, but in reality a good recruiter can learn about the industry and build talent pools irrespective of if they’ve recruited in that field before
  • In-house recruitment experience – it can take a bit of time to transition from agency world to in-house, so we’d love it if you’ve done this already. No need to stress if you haven’t (we can work with you), but demonstrating your understanding of some of the unique challenges an in-house team faces will go a long way in reassuring us that you’ll be a fast learner
