As a Corporate Development, Market Intelligence Coordinator, reporting to the Director, Corporate Development & Strategy, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing and locating potential M&A, investment and partnership targets throughout the gaming industry. You will build and utilize tech and tools to stay on top of all the latest trends in gaming. You will be part of a growing, dynamic corporate development team that is constantly evaluating new partnership opportunities.

What you will do:

Play games!
Be an expert in the latest trends impacting the gaming industry, and share insights across the corporate development and partnerships organization to help guide M&A, investment and partnership decisions
You will have or build expertise in free-to-play gaming, PC/Console gaming, and new gaming verticals, such as blockchain gaming / NFTs and play to earn
Partner with the Corporate Development Director and Scopely’s tech platform team to build tools and tech to continue to enable Scopely to stay abreast of all the top potential partners across the industry
You will have or build expertise in various statistical and data analytics & visualization tools
Leverage multiple third party market intelligence and other data platforms to identify partnership opportunities as well as build automated BI tools
Build out the top of the funnel for Scopely, making initial contact and working closely with executives on the corporate development team to set us up for building long term relationships with potential partners

What you will need:

Bachelor’s of Arts, Bachelor’s of Science, or equivalent degree from a top tier university
Excellent analytical, critical, and strategic thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly communicate ideas and analysis to senior executives
Experience in web tools and coding languages (R and / or Python) would be a plus
Highly organized and proactive, with an ability to get work done quickly and at a high standard
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and take on a range of ad-hoc projects
Able to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems while working with people based in a different time zone
Passion for video games and learning about new and emerging trends in the industry
Fluent English language skills
