Scopely's Los Angeles office is seeking a deeply analytical Finance Manager. This individual will provide budgeting and decision support for the Company’s shared corporate functions, partner closely with Accounting to execute on reporting process improvements and continuously evolve Scopely’s internal and external reporting capabilities.

The primary responsibilities of the Finance Manager will be providing financial and analytical support for all of the Company’s shared corporate functions. You will partner with functional leaders in the People Org., Publishing, Publishing Platform, Business Development, among others. Projects will include budgeting and forecasting, monthly reporting and forecasting, headcount planning, along with contract review and negotiations. This individual will perform deep and thorough financial analysis helping to ensure alignment between the company’s financial goals and strategic ambitions of these organizations. Partnering with the VP, Finance, you will also own consolidation efforts for management reporting of financial results to internal and external stakeholders, helping to bring to light opportunities for operational improvements and enhanced financial performance.

What you will do:

  • Partner with leaders throughout the organization, providing financial and analytic insights that lead these organizations to deliver on their strategic business outcomes
  • Own the entire budgeting process for these organizations (bi-annual planning, monthly reporting vs. actuals, monthly forecast updates, headcount planning and approvals)
  • Execute ad hoc analysis providing quantitative, data-driven decision making recommendations and support
  • Work closely with Product Finance to create a holistic view of the Company’s financial results, preparing and presenting financial results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with Accounting to drive process improvements as it relates to the Company’s reporting and financial analysis capabilities

What you will need:

  • Experience & Qualification: 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Start-up, investment banking or strategic consulting experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required
  • Experience in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment is a plus
  • Strong modeling and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve with minimal oversight
  • Passionate about games, especially of the mobile variety.
