Are you a Product Manager with a technical background interested in leading large-scale data infrastructure projects collaboratively with cross-functional teams including game product management, engineering, analytics and executive management? This is your chance to work in a high-impact strategic and operational product management role within a mobile gaming company!

We are looking for a Data Infrastructure Product Manager to join our Playgami team, with focus on our data infrastructure and our data products. You will be accountable for driving the prioritization and execution of data infrastructure projects. You must help define the right problem and the desired outcome. You must be able to explain to business leaders why a problem is technically difficult to solve without being overly technical. You must also be able to understand and communicate what business value the business leader expects to unlock and ensure the solution the team is building actually provides the value they are seeking.

Playgami is Scopely’s internal SaaS B2B platform for games. It offers the tools that help operate our multiplatform games, supports millions of users playing our games daily, and processes the huge amount of data they generate. You’ll join a great team of inner-motivated, ambitious individuals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds who strive to create the world’s best products for game production, operations, and insights while having fun at the same time.

Location:

Playgami project is based in Barcelona, but we are happy to hire candidates who will be working remotely from any other city in Spain, UK or Ireland.

What you will do:

  • Partner with our product leaders and game GMs to identify needs and opportunities and create an industry-leading roadmap for our Platform data analytics infrastructure, covering both realtime and batch use-cases
  • Own full product lifecycle for these platform products, from ideation and definition to rollout and adoption, and feature iteration.
  • Drive engineering teams to continue building best-in-class products to support Scopely's long-term strategy while delivering incremental value periodically.
  • Gather requirements from both sides of the aisle: technical customers and non-technical customers of the platform data products
  • Own the product rituals & processes, including the roadmap process, backlog prioritization, specs definition, communications process, and feedback process.
  • Mature and improve our platform documentation, education, training and onboarding.
  • Be an advocate of data best practices across multiple games and studios.
  • Build and foster a data-driven product culture that can optimize how we best leverage our platform for Scopely’s growth.

What you will need:

  • Several years of experience as a Product Manager - a background in social or mobile free to play gaming is a plus
  • Experience with technical products such as data products, APIs, Platforms and SaaS applications, and a technical background to understand the challenges involved
  • Experience owning, driving and operating a product strategy and roadmap
  • Experience with UX and product design techniques, and on how to use data to provide actionable insights
  • Ability to effectively balance the needs of technology, business, and user experience
  • Proven ability to partner with senior engineering and product leaders
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to “zoom in” and “zoom out”, to be able to write a detailed spec but also a high-level multi-year roadmap. Be comfortable with the forest and the trees.
