Overview
Scopely, a world-class mobile game development studio, is in search of an Art Director to join our development team on MARVEL STRIKE FORCE. We need a strong creative leader with an exceptional understanding of art creation on the mobile platform. Your passion for games and the Marvel Universe helps you bring to life your favorite heroes and villains, and contribute to one of the most visually ambitious mobile experiences ever.
What you will do:
- Own and oversee development of all visuals, from characters to key art
- Guide, mentor, inspire and develop a talented team of artists across all disciplines
- Bring exceptional problem solving strategies to areas of development
- Collaborate with design and engineering to consistently create memorable game experiences
- Consistently strive to exceed the highest quality standards of the studio
What you will need:
- 5+ years video game development experience.
- 2+ years experience as an Art Director
- Extensive portfolio displaying diverse artistic skills
- Art related college or university degree: BA or BFA
- In depth knowledge of all aspects of asset creation for video games, including modeling, texturing, and animation
- Extensive knowledge of Maya, Substance Designer/Painter and Unity
- Experience managing diverse artistic disciplines in a fast paced development environment
- Superior communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Experience with mobile development, live F2P games in particular
- Experience with fighting/combat system development
- Credit on multiple shipped titles
