Rooster Teeth is looking for a Senior Planner to support our Merchandising team! This role will drive the conversation regarding inventory, purchasing, and provide insights and actions against product performance and eCommerce metrics. You will be responsible for providing the team with business, category, and item level forecasts, replenishment and markdown suggestions, and analyzing the business to provide actionable recommendations for improvements and changes based on your findings. You will increase product turnover and maximize profits through detailed reporting, analysis and action.

The ideal candidate will be analytical and data driven. You are an experienced Planner, having worked in a corporate retail or eCommerce environment. You have a track record of improving processes, with quantifiable results. You are also an expert at building and improving upon reports, and ensuring data accuracy across the business.

*In this climate of constant change, candidates must be able to work and telecommunicate from home, as well as be able to work onsite if/when that becomes an option.*

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain forecasts at multiple levels (ie Business, Category, Brand, Style & SKU) for monthly, quarterly and yearly timeframes, to support financial targets
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers and evaluate forecast variances versus actual demand
  • Track forecast accuracy and adjust based on recent trends in the marketplace, strategy realignments and business needs
  • Work closely with buying team to manage entire product lifecycle (launch, replenishment and EOL)
  • Develop and maintain KPI reports (product and eCommerce)
  • Drive weekly sales and performance meetingsProactively identify inventory issues and provide an actionable plan to the buying and eCommerce teams
  • Track and measure eCommerce metrics and provide insights and actions to improve these metrics to the eCommerce Manager
  • Deliver style count analysis by category and brand for each seasonTrack promotions and deliver post mortem analysis along with recommendations for maximizing sell through
  • Identify poor performers and deliver actions on increasing sell-throughResponsible for entering weekly reorders, and tracking receipt flow to minimize out-of-stock time on key items
  • Develop and present initial seasonal SKU plan
  • Manage the open-to-buyEnsure seasonal plan ties back to financial goals
  • Present seasonal plan to Merchandising team, and adjust based on feedback
  • Present findings to stakeholders in quarterly kick offs

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in merchandising, replenishment, inventory management or demand planning
  • eCommerce experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced level Excel a must (if statements, pivot tables, lookups, index/match)
  • Strong analytical skills, expert problem solver and a proactive attitude
  • Experience in NetSuite or other Oracle ERP systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and execute and deliver on time
