We are looking for a Back End Engineer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining our experience on all our web properties. The ideal candidate would have a passion for and knowledge of React development and/or web development in general. The candidate would also have a proven track record of web application development to support and fulfill our strategic objectives. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building great software, enjoys working with a team of talented developers, and who is eager to take on big challenges.

Responsibilities
- Specialize in building high-performance and scalable service APIs that drive users’ playback experience across all devices
- Build systems that are optimized for scalability, efficiency, quality, and uptime
- Design and implement high performance, large-scale and highly available distributed services
- Participate in Agile processes and ceremonies such as daily stand-up, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Understand requirements from stakeholders and provide estimates of work
- Drive success of your projects from architecture to integration
- Iterate on solutions based on internal and external (customer) feedback
- Learn and experiment with new technologies to make sure we are prepared for the future
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related computer science field or foreign degree equivalent
- 4 years of professional software development experience using either Ruby on Rails or Go
- 4 years of experience in Cloud-based hosting and systems architecture knowledge
- 4 years of experience building back-end services and APIs

- Object Oriented Design and data structure knowledge
- Multitasking skills, ability to pay attention to detail and maintaining focus under a fast paced environment
