We are looking for an exceptionally talented UI & RPG Programmer to join us as a Contractor for 23 months, who is ready for the challenge of producing a AAA title on the next-generation platforms.
Reporting to the Lead UI Programmer, you will take on advanced architectural and implementation challenges relating to frontend and in-game user interfaces on our recently announced AAA title; Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
This is a truly exciting opportunity to work closely with a small team of artists and programmers, to help bring about the game’s vision, and push the boundaries of UI and gameplay coding for video games.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Lead UI & RPG Programmer to understand and realize the vision of the game.
- Work closely with the UI artists work to produce a high-quality user experience.
- Work with gameplay coding teams to advance and maintain the interface with game logic.
- Help the production team to develop the UI & RPG code schedule and manage bugs to minimise risk and ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Implement UI & RPG features to a high quality.
- Contribute to the relevant UI documentation of the project.
Technical Requirements
- Proven track record as a UI or gameplay Programmer on at least two successfully-published titles, participating in the development from concept to publishing stage.
- Advanced understanding of C/C++.
- A good understanding of computer graphics and game technology principles
- An advanced understanding of the main gaming platforms and the requirements needed to develop software on them.
- Experience working in fast-moving development environments; the ability to alter course during the journey.
Skill Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong passion for gaming is a must.
- Experience working in fast-moving development environments; the ability to alter course during the journey.
- Experience defining, designing, implementing, and supporting production process for creative software teams.
