Rockstar Games is currently looking for an On-Set Continuity Operator to join the Production Department and support our Performance Capture team. The Continuity Operator provides quality assurance and production support across all of our projects.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Performance Capture team at Rockstar is responsible for storyboarding, directing, and capturing all live actor data for use in Cinematics and in-game animations.

  • As a global Performance Capture team at Rockstar, we collaborate with animators, directors, and artists from around the world, working to the highest standards to produce the substantial range of character animations required for our ground-breaking AAA games.

  • We work with cutting-edge technology to both inform and capture our actors’ movement, facial and audio data to create photo realistic content in our games.

  • We fabricate sets, customize hardware, create props, and utilize every tool possible to achieve the highest standards for our shoots.

  • We capture the core data that serves as the backbone for story and in-game character animations across all of Rockstar’s titles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain complex tracking databases of various production categories and supporting documentation.

  • Responsible for mocap data collection and entry into our proprietary database on all motion capture shoots.

  • Maintain, organize and distribute scripts to animators, producers and performers as needed.

  • Check scripts line by line for style, continuity and clarity.

  • Support producers during voiceover recording processes as needed.

  • Act as an administrator who works with animators, producers and directors throughout the production process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be well organized, and have excellent communication and administrative skills.

  • Keen eye for detail and be able to meticulously track shot details with a low margin of error.

  • Strong technical, creative, and editorial skills.

  • Ability to work fast while still being ultraprecise and rigorous about quality control.

  • Self-starter who is comfortable working both very independently and very collaboratively.

  • Must be someone who is passionate, conscientious, calm under pressure, and works with fastidious care.

  • Understanding that the entertainment industry is not a 9-5 job. Recordings and on-set shoots run late and can include weekends.

  • Very strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word required. Must be able to edit simple formulas in a spreadsheet.

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be between $50,000 and $65,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
