As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Marketplace Systems team, you will build the UI components that power Roblox's Avatar Marketplace. This role is unique, as it is a UI engineer embedded in a backend system team. You will design robust systems for high-traffic surfaces and drive solutions using Lua, React and other technologies. If you are an expert at developing user interfaces for web, mobile, or console devices, and are passionate about user experience, you will be right at home with us! You will report into our Senior Engineering Manager.

You Will:

  • Build end to end UI systems used by hundreds of millions of users

  • Partner with Product, Design, and other engineers to ensure the we're aligned and moving in the right direction

  • Use best programming practices, optimizing code to be performant

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience as a front-end or client apps engineer working on complex user interfaces

  • Experience working on large-scale consumer applications in React/Redux, React Native, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS and other platforms

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in a production environment

You Are:

  • Fascinated by UX: You love to build delightful user experiences for millions of users. You care about the little details that no one notices are there

  • Detailed: You like to dig deep to understand the nuances while keeping things simple for our users

  • Curious: You find learning new languages and technologies exciting

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$189,110—$233,840 USD
