Technical Product Managers combine deep experience with product leadership capabilities to allow Riot to provide essential products and supporting systems to players. You will develop product strategies on Riot's products and technologies while leading diverse teams to provide creative solutions to our most difficult technical challenges.
As the Technical Product Manager for a Service Operations Engineering project team you will help improve the health and sustainability of the services and operations behind League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. You will do this by leading projects to rebuild our services on modern technology using Riot-wide standard solutions. You will partner with game teams and Riot central tech teams to ensure that we can continue to provide a high-quality experience to millions of players on a global scale. You will report to the Product Lead of Service Operations Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage process for project teams in Service Operations Engineering
- Help define the Service Operations Engineering roadmap and strategy for modernizing League services
- Manage and inform stakeholders in both Riot and Tencent
- Balance technical and product needs between multiple teams
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience developing and operating a live software service
- Excellent teamwork, team leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with and leading Agile teams
- Engineering background in services, operations, or infrastructure
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure Operations or SRE
- Experience with systems/services that operate at global scale
- Experience with operating games as a service
