The Strategic Finance team at Riot is dedicated to helping our business partners make the best decisions for Players. Our team contains experts from a variety of Finance backgrounds, with a shared dedication to providing Riot leaders with a deep understanding of the financial impact of meaningful decisions.
As Strategic Finance III, Arcane, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Production, you will manage the production team’s financial budgets and cost forecasts for Arcane, Riot’s animated TV series set in the League of Legends universe.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly cost reports and variance analysis
- Work with Head of Production to update cost forecasts
- Advise Head of Production and production executives on cost savings opportunities
- Work with production accounting firm (Trevanna) on daily financial management including payroll processing, purchasing, accounts payable and expense reimbursement
- Identify ways to improve and refine financial processes
- Perform ad hoc analysis for Head of Production and production executives
- Develop presentations outlining financial data with clear narrative
- Review, anticipate and prepare annual production budgets
- Advise on rates for talent, ensure that new talent is folded into the production forecast process and tracking
- Work with producers to prepare financial information for distributors and financiers if applicable
- Advise on available and applicable tax incentive schemes and ensure rebates are fooled into the finance process
- Provide required third-party reporting as contractually required
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Business Administration or Economics
- Six years experience in Production Accounting or Production Finance
- Experience managing budgets and financial reporting for TV or Film productions
- Understanding of end-to-end purchasing process for productions
- Knowledge of production accounting concepts and practices, including controls and
- Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Proven diligence and attention to detail
