Quality Assurance Leads are champions of quality focused on helping with strategy and communication. We support the product Test Strategy by crafting test plans, quality bars, and promote team execution within an agile development framework. We also communicate risks, defects and coverage reports to development teams. Additionally, as the Quality Owner for their team, QA Leads provide QA approval on product release readiness. Lastly, we ensure close collaboration with other disciplines to advocate for improvements in the development process.

As a Quality Assurance Lead in Live Services you are responsible for helping Riot test and deliver tooling/services/products to teams across the company - within both games and services. You will work directly with developers to support testing activities across all disciplines. You will also ensure the execution of all test coverage within your product space and manage test, telemetry, and defect data and report regularly on product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Establish testing requirements and quality bars within assigned feature set
  • Establish and document testing methodologies or testing tools
  • Drive implementation of static testing processes
  • Create and maintain functional and non-functional test suites
  • Report, triage and monitor bugs via bug reporting workflow
  • Plan and supervise system test coverage utilizing outsource vendors
  • Establish team quality metrics and track trends
  • Report on test coverage progress and product health
  • Identify and escalate risks to product or project quality
  • Participate in product and process retrospectives
  • Test & validate stories and tasks within sprints
  • Perform exploratory testing on assigned features
  • Find and escalate blocking issues

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years Software Quality Assurance experience with Bachelor’s or better
  • ISTQB Foundation Level
  • ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST)
  • Testing with web frameworks
  • API testing experience
  • Database testing experience
