We partner with our LA headquarters on game development for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. We’re also building teams for VALORANT and 2XKO - our upcoming fighting game. The Singapore Studio is seeking talented, passionate craft experts with backgrounds in all areas of game development to build games that make it better to be a player.

Motion Graphics Artists concept and give life to Riot Games products. Your technical skills and keen aesthetic eye for motion and compositing will transform static images into interactive works of art. You will make creative decisions that define how elements in 2XKO will interact, build, transition, and function in collaboration with artists, designers, and engineers around the world.
As a Motion Graphics Artist on 2XKO, you will design, lead, and execute 2XKO’s full range of motion needs including: UI Animatics, full-motion user flows with interaction states, transitions, and more. You will collaborate with Visual Design, UX Design, Audio, Engineering, and QA to guarantee motion is used to add clarity and excitement to the game.
You’ll report to the Manager of Game Production for the Singapore 2XKO team.
Responsibilities
Create UI Animatics by taking the visuals of menus, buttons, navigation flows, and UI and animating them according to Riot’s and 2XKO’s quality bar and style
Implement motion graphics with Unreal Engine 5, including documenting motion design conventions and best practices for future artists to leverage
Confidently operate as a subject matter expert on motion graphics for the team, able to effectively communicate and represent principles of animation and when motion is best used to better the players’ experience
Breathe life into the game experience by adding dynamic elements and animating visual effects from static artwork
Support a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience as a motion graphics artist
Strong Understanding of animation principles and how to use them effectively
Experience animating dynamic and functional User Interfaces, including systems, menus, and HUDs
Experience using Adobe Suite including After Effects with industry standard plugins, and collaborating with tools like Figma
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of the fighting game genre and its community
Experience in Unreal; animation in UMG, Blueprints and Material Editor
Familiarity with best practices for optimized asset creation and a willingness to adapt to evolving tools and workflows in Unreal Engine
Experience in graphic design with an eye for composition, typography and visual storytelling
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and iterate on UI designs based on user feedback and testing
Experience working in 3D with applications such as: Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Element 3D
Passion for Games: A genuine passion for video games and an understanding of the interactive medium
Experience working across time zones and in cross-cultural teams
