This role will help to drive Red Bull’s esports and gaming marketing program, demonstrating to the consumer that Red Bull is the only brand that gives wings to the world’s most exciting events, launches and talented athletes across esports and Gaming. You’ll be credibly and effectively communicating the functional benefits of Red Bull products to interested consumers via world-class activations. You will also focus on potential new opportunities within areas of esports and gaming we are not currently exposed to.

Growing our presence and consumer awareness

  • To support the esports manager in the day to day implementation of the Red Bull UK esports strategy.
  • To help drive product functionality and credible usage of Red Bull products within esports and gaming.
  • To help grow and develop Red Bull’s relationships with esports and gaming communities, rights holders, publishers, developers and key influencers to ensure that Red Bull’s image amongst key industries is credible, enduring and aspirational.
  • To seek new opportunities for Red Bull to better integrate and support the community
  • To build a credible “Friends of Red Bull’ network in the esports and gaming industry and associated media that can support and enhance Red Bull projects.

Athlete Management

  • Involvement in the management of esports athletes to deliver against specific targets and activation plans.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management
  • To help communicate internally to Sales and other Marketing functions the aims and ambitions of the esports program.
  • To work with the Sports Communications team in capturing amazing imagery and telling stories of Red Bull within esports.
  • To support the Field Marketing Teams in identifying opportunities within their regions.
  • To be the office based representative of the esport team.
  • To communicate the Red Bull Gaming Sphere calendar.
  • To support key activations at The Red Bull Gaming Sphere
  • To work with the commercial partnership team to maximise effectiveness of partnership opportunities.
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders in key projects are continually updated with necessary information – liaising internally with the necessary teams

Other

  • To be conscientious and responsible with all budget spend to ensure the program remains buoyant and demonstrates strong return on investment (ROI)
  • To manage Red Bull Projects when required
  • To support with the logistics of key event delivery
  • To support key activations at The Red Bull Gaming Sphere

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

(proven performance in)

  1. An interest in esports and Gaming
  2. Relevant marketing experience is required, ideally including event management, budget management
  3. Creative thinking with a flair for idea generation and problem-solving
  4. The ability to communicate well to different people in different ways. From Senior board members to interns and from powerpoint presentations to emails, you know how to communicate ideas, tasks, problems and opportunities in the right tone and in a timely manner
  5. Strong planning & organisational skills
  6. Able to develop excellent working relationships across different departments of the UK business
  7. A good understanding of brands, their positioning/purpose and you have the vision to turn this understanding into activities that are consistent with what our brand stands for but also meaningful to people in the UK
