What you’ll be doing:

The Concept Artist is a new role dedicated to delivering concept art for the project and ensure the integration of the work is in line with the project’s artistic direction. As part of the Concept Art team, you will play a key role in illustrating the consistent look and feel of an entire game.

As a concept artist you will work with game teams to create conceptual images of what scenes, characters, lighting conditions etc. might look like before huge amounts of time is invested in the work. Sometimes concepts are quick explorations, sometimes they form as finished artwork in their own right.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, pro-active, and versatile, to join and be a key member of a new team working on an exciting new project. This role would suit an artist with excellent traditional fine art skills such as composition, perspective, lighting, anatomy, architecture, texture, painting, and an artistic preference for stylized work.

Responsibilities

Help develop and progress visual style from an early stage of production
Illustrate the consistent look and feel of an entire game to a high standard
Develop specific visual game asset concepts for construction and use in the project
Communicate complex concepts and designs, from high level pitches to the smallest production details
Reference game design documents to develop an understanding of the environments, objectives, atmospheres, story and style of the project
Ensure the artistic quality of the project by collaborating with Senior Artists and make changes when necessary

Requirements:

Advanced traditional fine art skills such as composition, perspective, colour theory, lighting, anatomy, architecture, texture, and painting.
Excellent character and environmental skills.
A Strong stylized/comic style portfolio
Industry experience and knowledge
