Job Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join our dynamic and growing Razer Gold business with a global footprint working closely with other stakeholders in the business including product developers and sales and marketing as Head of Risk and Compliance, Razer Gold. Reporting to the Head / Head of Operations, Razer Gold and in tandem to the Razer Inc. Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will lead a small team to develop the Risk & Compliance function, working closely with global Business and Compliance leaders to identify, track and coordinate the impacts of regulatory developments, understanding regulators’ priorities and shaping and coordinating our response to these through effective engagement with stakeholders across the markets in which we operate.

  • Lead the Risk and Compliance Function within the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing organization
  • Develop, oversee and implement the enterprise risk management framework and control procedures as it pertains to the business, instilling a culture of continuous improvement
  • Oversee and implement the Razer regulatory compliance framework
  • Drive the roll-out and use of risk and compliance controls and processes, as it pertains to the business
  • Devise risk advisory and mitigation strategies in new products or new business ventures
  • Involvement in regulatory engagements for the Risk Function with financial regulatory authorities
  • Ensure compliance controls and procedures in place including controls and procedures on the prevention, monitoring and investigation of money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, sanctions breaches and fraud, designed to ensure that the regional businesses are fully compliant with all financial crime compliance obligations
  • Identify, measure, control, monitor and report on Razer’s risks, in line with established procedures
  • Coordinate business and regulatory specific compliance reviews, routine checks, reports and approvals
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends in identifying, mitigating and monitoring risks
  • Build and deliver relevant management training and education programs to employees

Pre-Requisites

  • Degree qualified, post-graduate qualifications preferred
  • 10 years or more of relevant, multi-jurisdictional compliance experience - experience as senior professional in the financial services industry experience is critical
  • Strong knowledge of financial services including payment systems and services, legal and regulatory requirements, consumer banking and card operations experience. Experience managing virtual credits platforms would be a bonus
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, maintain flexibility in fast-paced environment, and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for reporting purposes, performing liaison duties, and relating to business leaders/individuals
  • Independent, self-motivated and self-starter
  • Experience leading and building a lean team
