The Community Content Specialist is responsible for ideating and creating social media content that drives community engagement and increases Razer's brand awareness. The Community Content Specialist reports into the Social Media team and works closely with the global marketing teams to incorporate Razer's product offering in a fun and creative manner on social media.

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and create social media content with an emphasis on short-format videos in a timely manner.
  • Assist with planning editorial calendar and posting of relevant content to social media according to calendar, and in an ad-hoc manner as needed.
  • Grow Razer's social user base at an exponential rate and manage day-to-day communications on owned social media channels.
  • Be the Razer community ambassador that engages with fans both on online and offline (such as at events and tradeshows) platforms.
  • Coordinate the setup for production of social media content (studio, office, and/or events).
  • Scout for and review potential partnerships with the right influencers for the brand.
  • Monitor customer and influencer feedback on social networking sites, participate in online conversations and report findings to management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams and offer social media support to wider organizational marketing efforts.
  • Ensure that social media campaigns and results meet objectives and budget.
  • Travel required up to 10% of the time (domestic and/or international).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or PR or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in building and managing social media accounts for a brand, along with a good eye for design and the ability to spot emerging social trends and identify gaming/pop-cultural references.
  • Experience in using video editing software.
  • Strong understanding of short-form video platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram Stories.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, PHPBB, HTML5 and CSS.
  • Comfortable presenting on camera and in front of live audiences.
  • Great communication and influence skills, as well as experience in educating others on social media best practices.
  • Understanding of social media best practices, online marketing, and engagement techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on generating business results.
  • Ability to work with global teams across multiple cultures. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Gamer and gaming knowledge is required.
