Qualcomm's Advanced Content and Gaming team is seeking an experienced software engineer to work directly with Unreal Engine 4 and UE4 based PC game developers around the world to drive engine level enhancements and optimizations for Snapdragon powered PCs.  The focus of the role will be primarily on GPU and CPU related features and optimizations for PC gaming but will touch all the Snapdragon SOC hardware blocks including, audio, video, neural processing, display and connectivity. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with PC game developers around the world driving game optimizations to create best-in-class experiences for the Snapdragon chipset.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience with developing gaming software
  • 7+ years of experience with C/C++
  • 2+ years of experience with Unreal Engine 4 (Blueprint and C++ interfaces)
  • Solid 3D graphics related mathematics background

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field
  • 8+ Experience with gameplay programming, and game design
  • Shipped at least one mobile, console, PC, or XR game
  • Knowledge of Android OS and Android application development
  • Familiarity with HW profilers and debuggers such as Snapdragon Profiler, RenderDoc, Pix, NSight, etc…
  • Comfortable working with unfamiliar, large multi-million-line code bases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
