This is a one-year fixed term employment position with a preference for candidates who are able to work hybrid from our studio in Madison, Wisconsin.

The person we’re looking for:

PUBG Madison is seeking an Associate QA Tester with strong attention to detail and a collaborative spirit to join our skilled team of testers who work to make our product better for players everywhere.

If you have a deep passion for video games, strong critical thinking skills and want to get in the ground floor of this awesome effort, we'd love to see you apply! This role reports to the QA Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Test Plans and run through Test Cases to verify game functionality and performance

  • Identify and track defects within the title via AdHoc testing both solo and within a group

  • Perform bug and feature regression, ensuring that updates and changes do not introduce new issues

  • Engage in continuous learning of internal workflows, in-game features and navigation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in video games and video game development

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Able to work closely within a team

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Curiosity for learning and personal growth

  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback based on retail gaming experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and some college coursework

  • Coursework in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field

  • Experience with console or PC gaming with First-Person Shooter and Battle Royale games

  • Experience in software or game testing (e.g., paid work, internships, volunteer work)
