The Global Localization Manager is a key operational role and will have full oversight of the translation production throughout PTW worldwide and will support Snr Director in the day to day running of the department.

They will support and advise production teams when preparing larger bids, will create quotes and schedules, process invoicing and support the sales team to win new clients.

Position in Organisation:

A member of the Localization Team that reports into the Localization Snr. Director and will have 4 direct reports globally.

Based out of London, the Global Localization Manager will be an experienced key player in driving quality and implementing expansion plans.

Requirements:

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the translation function operationally in partnership with Snr. Director
  • Working with colleagues globally to improve delivery and collaboration
  • Supporting Snr Director to achieve the strategic goals for the department
  • Work with Snr Director to develop the existing strategy for the department
  • Support the significant forecasted expansion of the department
  • Helping to develop a high performance localisation team.
  • Line management of direct reports
  • Acting as key contact for clients
  • Working with sales team on future opportunities
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Risk analysis
  • Post-mortem reviews and lessons learnt
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
  • Adhere to company Security, Confidentiality and Health and Safety procedures and ensure the compliance of the team
  • Adhere to the company IT and HR procedures and ensure the compliance of the team

Other:

  • Understand ethical behaviour and business practices, and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organisation

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • A seasoned translation professional with extensive experience in managing service delivery
  • Excellent knowledge of business software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Good understanding of CAT tools capabilities
  • Experience in the video games industry
  • Ability to make decisions independently and decisively
  • Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Previous experience of successfully managing teams
  • Demonstrates proactivity
  • Ability to develop new ways to improve operations and to create opportunities
  • Experience working in a global organisation
  • Good organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of a second language an advantage
  • Keeps a “can do” attitude and positive thinking

Qualifications:

  • Translation or language-related BA studies or equivalent an advantage.

Additional Information:

  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours – at times will be required to work shifts, weekends or overtime during the week.
  • Proficiency in more than one language is welcome.
