What You'll Do
Psyonix is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Artist to work on Rocket League. The ideal candidate will have experience in both artistic and technical aspects of game development and be able to serve as the bridge between the two disciplines. Using deep knowledge of the Unreal Engine, they will help create tools and pipeline improvements for the art team.
In This Role You Will
- Help multiple teams improve their workflow in Unreal Engine
- Solve technical issues for our art team
- Write scripts and work with new tech in Unreal Engine
- Write tools to streamline artist pipelines
- Assess and improve performance and optimization
- Be a bridge between the art, client, and graphics programming teams
What We’re Looking For
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine
- Proficiency with C++ and Python scripting
- Knowledge of FX (ideally Niagara)
- Knowledge of material authoring in Unreal Engine
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Ability to work in an unfamiliar codebase
- Understanding of Maya and 3DS Max
- Knowledge of technical UI/UX principles
- Ability to mentor others
